Mel Gibson's Baby
03 March 2004
Mel Gibson defines evil for Christianity Today's Mark Moring: "taking something that's good and twisting it a little bit."

Well, if you say so, Mel.

A moment of repentence? Not from this Christian braveheart. Rather, Gibson is responding to Christianity Today's request that he explain the much talked about "evil baby" coddled by an androgynous Satan in The Passion.

So what is evil really about? In order to make it clear, says Gibson, "We dubbed in a man's voice... even though the actor [playing Satan] is a woman... That's what evil is about."

It's just that simple.

Or is it? Speculation at Amy Wellborn's Catholic blog, Open Book.
