Spidey-Christ 04 February 2005 The evangelical magazine Christianity Today has made a list of the "10 most redeeming films of the year. Most surprising redeemer? Spiderman II, which CT calls "The Passion redux." The magazine presents a separate list of the plain old ten best, redemption be darned. Most surprising -- as in jaw-dropping surprising -- Mike Leigh's powerful, pro-choice drama Vera Drake comes in tied for 9th. Spidey gets honorable mention.
