08 August 2006Nicole Greenfield: Max Blumenthal comments on David Brog as Washington's first full-time lobbyist for Christian Zionists--specifically for John Hagee's Christians United for Israel--in a web-only piece for The Nation. Brog has experience inside the Beltway, connections to Bush, and is also a Jew. It is this personal engagement with both evangelicals and Jews that makes Brog such an interesting--and important--character for the Christian Zionist movement. And while Blumenthal tries hard to make sense of it all, the mainstream press remains completely silent. Apparently a politically influential Jew telling the adminstration that Israel at war is a good thing isn't much of a story these days.
