27 January 2005Christian conservative Allan Carlson, president of a think tank called the Howard Center, proposes lower insurance rates for married couples with children. Carlson says that "children-rich" families with a working father and a homemaker mom enjoy better health. Carlson also wants Medicaid and Medicare to be eliminated "'so that the real benefits and advantages of life within the natural family come back into play.'"
