My God! Abramoff.

Hard times are here for Ralph Reed, candidate for lieutenant governor of Georgia, as the Georgia Christian Coalition -- a branch of Reed's own, former empire -- denounces him for his dealings with Jack Abramoff, the disgraced super-lobbyist for whom Reed had mobilized thousands of Christian voters in defense of Abramoff's financial interests in casino deals. From a Washington Post report by Thomas B. Edsall, drawing on the almost 50 articles run on the Reed-Abramoff connection in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, comes this man-on-the-street epitaph: "'Ralph Reed of the Christian Coalition? My God! Abramoff.'"
