David v. Goliath: the Study 02 February 2006 The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's National Religious Leadership Roundtable has released a new report this week, taking inventory of all LGBT-friendly churches and religious groups, in hopes that the gay community can find ways to mobilize these progressive religious groups in defense of gay rights. The report, modestly-titled, "David v. Goliath: A Report on Faith Groups Working for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Equality (and What They're up Against)," urges liberal foundations to partner with, and even fund, the gay-friendly churches, as conservative foundations have supported their like-minded churches.
