A New Media Darling?
18 October 2006Greenfield: Mother Jones recently published an article on eccentric preacher K.A. Paul and his meeting with House Speaker Dennis Hastert. Paul claims that during the meeting God convinced Hastert to resign over the Foley scandal -- a claim that Hastert denies, but still has people talking. Those at Christianity Today wonder if Paul's raised profile will make him "the new media darling for reporters looking for a juicy religious quote. Don't bet on it," they write, sending a clear message to religion reporters. "His political views are probably too unpredictable for 'fill-in-the-blank' reporting."
