Isn't It Ironic?
20 November 2006Greenfield: Rick Warren denies making politcal statements to the state-run Syrian media during a recent visit to the country. In a letter to his congregation, Warren wrote: "Of course, that's ridiculous, but it created a stir among bloggers who tend to editorialize before verifying the truth. Does it seem ironic to you that people who distrust Syria are now trusting Syrian press releases?" In other words: Hey, Saddlebackers, it's the American press that you shouldn't trust. Keep that in mind if I ever get screwed like Haggard did.
